Kids Summer Sailing Camp
Ages: 7-15
Schedule: Weekly (Monday-Friday) 1:00PM – 5:00PM
Cost: $400.00 per child per session
The 5:1 student-to-instructor ratio in our Sailing Camp can’t be beat, and kids won’t need a wetsuit due to the stability of our Capri 22’ keelboats. All of our camp instructors have gone through training to create the safest environment for sailors, and our staff includes US Coast Guard Captains and certified instructors. Over the course of five days, campers will feel more confident at the helm and obtain skills that they will be able to use for the rest of their lives. Finally, Friday is race day! Campers apply what they’ve learned during the week and work as a team to win.
Curriculum
To ensure a personalized experience, our sailing camp students are placed into groups of no more than 5 per instructor. Each group sets sail on their own safe and stable 22 ft sailboat with a qualified instructor on board at all times. Our sailing camp includes dock side and on-the-water instruction. Your child will learn basic sailing techniques, nautical terminology, crew overboard rescue maneuvers, basic knots, and rules of the road.
KIDS SAILING CAMP REQUIREMENTS
Age: All campers must be between the ages of 7-15 on the first day of camp.

Beyond Summer - After School Sailing
The Santa Barbara Sailing Center offers a unique After School Sailing program. At the end of the school day, it’s time to get out of the house and enjoy fresh air and healthy fun out at sea.
