The word Barbareño comes from the name of the original Chumash dialect that was spoken in the area, which now lies on the coast of California’s Santa Barbara Channel between Rincon Point and Point Conception. A place where the food is not only locally sourced, but also locally inspired. Where guests can slow down and fully appreciate all that Santa Barbara has to offer. With their cuisine, they strive to shed new light on familiar foods and ingredients. By taking those as a starting point and applying the creativity of their chefs, they hope to reinterpret well-known foods in a new way to further define a modern micro-regional style of cooking specific to Santa Barbara and the Central Coast.
