Since 1967, The Santa Barbara Sailing Center Club has been awakening and cultivating the sailing spirit. From instruction and saving money on charters, to parties, seminars, flotillas, and fireworks, it is a community of fun on and around the water. We have a large staff with impressive sailing resumes ready to help you and your family plot an unforgettable course towards a lifestyle of cruising.

We are committed to meeting all of your yachting needs and look forward to having you make us your port of call soon. Members of the Sailing Center have access to exclusive club member events, sunset sails, half-day rates, discounted rentals, and more!

Award-Winning Sailing School

The Santa Barbara Sailing Center is home to an award-winning sailing school which has won the prestigious American Sailing Association School of the Year Award two years in a row. Our school offers all levels of professional accreditation up to Advanced Coastal Cruising (ASA 106). Your confidence in yourself and the yacht to withstand heavy conditions will be unsurpassed after you experience sailing around the Channel Islands.

Pricing & Terms

One-Time Initiation Fee $588
Membership Dues $50/month

  • The initiation fee is a one-time fee. Look into one of our instructional packages to eliminate it. 
  • The membership is a household membership. Household family members include the primary member, their spouse/partner, and children under the age of 25.  
  • Unpaid dues will result in cancellation of membership.
  • Reactivation of membership requires payment of the initiation fee or back dues, whichever is lower.
  • Dues are automatically billed each month to your credit card on file.
  • If you would like to cancel your membership at any point, you must submit written notice before the first of the month. We cannot offer any refunds or credits for dues already charged.
  • Prices are subject to 12% port tax, California state sales tax, and CC processing fee.
