Kayak & Stand-Up Paddle Board
Rentals & Guided Tours

SB Sailing

A kayak gets you up close and personal with the Santa Barbara Harbor area. Head on out to the Sand Spit, circle the sea-lions sunbathing on the buoys, or check out the famous Santa Barbara Wharf. The scenery changes, every day, and with concierge service, you’ll paddle and play in style. Choose from group or private guided tours, or head out on your own and explore the beautiful hidden sights of the Santa Barbara coastline.

Want to feel like you’re walking on water? In addition to boat rentals, charters and kayak rentals, we offer stand-up paddle board (SUP) rentals at the Santa Barbara Sailing Center. It’s as easy as it is cool. We also built a special launch pad just for stand-up paddle boarders. You can launch directly from our dock to explore The Santa Barbara Harbor, Stearns Wharf, West Beach and beyond.

For a great solo workout try renting one of our rowing sculls. Row outside of the breakwater and up to Leadbetter Beach and back, or just enjoy an early morning tour of the harbor.

Life vests and paddles are included with all rentals and guided tours.
Ability to swim is required.

Kayaks & Boards

Here at the Santa Barbara Sailing Center we know how important equipment is to every sailor, kayaker & paddle boarder. We are proud to offer Ocean Kayak kayaks and YOLO stand-up paddle boards.

The Frenzy Single Kayak

The Frenzy is compact and affordable, providing fun for everyone in the family. It has the stability and fun of the Yak Board with the addition of a strong keel line for good tracking in a compact craft. It’s the kayak that people keep for a lifetime. Forgiving in the surf, riding waves or paddling calm waters. What’s not to love?

*Maximum weight: 275-325 lbs

Mailibu Two Tandem Kayak

The Malibu Two is considered to be the most stable tandem kayak on the market. It is beamy, comfortable and almost impossible to tip over. Ideal for families and beginning paddlers, the patented design allows two people to fit comfortably in one compact kayak.

*Maximum weight: 375-425 lbs

The Hammerhead is a traditional fiberglass Stand Up Paddleboard with an EPS foam core wrapped in an ABS thermo-formed plastic. A tough band covers the rail seams and serves as extra protection to prevent damage from the paddle blade.
