Corporate Sailing Regattas & Team Building

Have your staff participate in a miniature America's Cup Sailing Regatta!

Get ready to experience an exhilarating regatta on the brilliant Pacific Ocean. Learn the true meaning of accountability while you are deep within the elements of America’s Riviera – Santa Barbara! Each vessel includes a professional skipper who will accompany, challenge and direct the team during the three short 30 minute races. Each crew member will be responsible for different aspects of handling the vessel, while working together like a well-oiled machine. As you strive for team success, participants will be taught how to achieve proper sail trim, master the maneuvers of tacking and jibing and strategize about the angles on how to get you to the finish line first. Sun, sea and the picturesque background of the Santa Ynez Mountains will certainly make this an event to remember for years to come, all while creating the perfect team building experience.

Prior to the Regatta:

• Organize your group into teams of 6 or less.
• Choose a flag color for each team from the selection listed below.
• When you arrive the racing yachts will be displaying the flags, which enables us to quickly get each team onboard.
• Any motion sickness remedy should be taken according to manufacturer’s directions.
• Dress in layers as it tends to be cooler on the water.
• Wear comfortable, non marking soled shoes.
• Sunscreen and sunglasses.

For those who enjoy a smaller sailboat but still want the competitive edge, we offer 21' Victory Regattas (4 participants per boat plus SBSC staff).  See below for details.

• Upon arrival to our facility you will be greeted by one of our competent staff members.
• Teams board their designated yachts.
• A brief safety orientation is given then it’s time to release the dock lines!
• Once on the water, the captain will demonstrate various aspects of racing including taking the helm, sail trim, points of sail and tacking. 
• The yachts gather near the start line in anticipation of the race.  Start times are calculated according to yacht size and speed.
• After approximately two hours of racing, the regatta comes to a climatic finish with screams of joy from the winners and “we’ll get you next time” from the competitors.

Regatta Policies

Regatta Deposits:
100% of the total regatta, non-refundable and due the day reservation is made. We accept Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover, personal checks, traveler checks, money orders and cash.

Change Of Date Policy:
Regatta date changeable with $100.00 fee until30 days prior to regatta date.

Cancellation Policy:
100% of regatta or refer to change of date policy. 
SBSC reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or delay regattas for inclement weather at discretion of onsite manager.
